About the Impact Artist

Alexander Star is an Emmy-nominated recording artist, songwriter, performer, and social impact activist based in South Florida, USA. His work in the field of world change has brought his musical performances to 10+ countries, gotten him to perform inside the United Nations five times, and earned him the title IMPACT ARTIST amongst his peers.

Alexander Star, first became involved with 211 Broward’s mission in 2018 when he performed at the non-profit organization’s annual Community Care Plan Non-Profit Awards.  He was inspired to create Just One Firefly, written in collaboration with 211 Broward, as a resource of hope for those who are struggling with thoughts of suicide, mental health, and dealing with everyday challenges.  The performer is known for using songwriting to spark positive social impact. Just One Firefly was performed by Alexander Star live for the first time in March at 211 Broward’s 25th  Silver Anniversary Celebration with Title Partner Roy Pollard Jr. Family Paying It Forward Fund.

And Alexander is no stranger to making a lasting impact around the globe:
  • Alexander Star’s song “Pass The Good Vibes Around” became the anthem for Les Anges 9 (France’s #1 rated reality TV series) after Star appeared as a vocal producer and songwriter on several episodes. The song was later featured in an MSC Cruises music video campaign to help restore tourism to Eastern Caribbean islands after they suffered devastating hurricane damage.
  • Star’s anthem “This Is My Era” is responsible for much of his world tour, and was rebranded into a Super Bowl LIV campaign featuring NFL stars Larry Fitzgerald, Jarvis Landry, and Mark Sanchez rapping with Star to promote coral reef awareness and encourage eco-friendly habits worldwide.
  • Alexander Star found impact in East Africa with his song “Show Me The Way,” a cultural collaboration with Rwandan superstar Andy Bumuntu, promoting peace & humanity to help heal hearts in a post-genocide nation.
  • Alexander Star’s impact extends well beyond the stage. As a lyrical mentor, Star has spent significant time leading therapeutic songwriting & recording sessions with teens in foster care  who have incredible stories to tell but need help expressing their feelings. He also teamed up with Montessori Model United Nations to guide kids from around the world through writing songs in alignment with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, then performing those songs on stage for thousands of their peers at the annual MMUN Conferences in NYC, Chicago, and Rome.
